This vessel is designed to protect the tubers (seeds) of an aquatic plant. This will allow for the plants continued reproduction, amidst predators. Similar to naval mines, this structure will be deposited and left to wait as it removes toxins from the water, provides habitat for aquatic life, and food for the ecosystem.
